Our Story

Find out more about Crosby Housing Association using the links below:

We are a small, community based housing association operating in South Sefton. We own just over 400 properties, mostly located in Seaforth and Waterloo.

The Association was formed in 1969 by a group of volunteers committed to changing the appalling housing conditions that faced many local families at the time.

We purchased our first home with money raised through fundraising and soon after set up the Charity Shop to bring in funds and provide essential items such as clothing and household goods at a very low cost.

Over time we secured housing grants that funded the growth of the Association and enabled us to buy and improve properties that were let to local people. We continue to provide affordable, good quality housing and excellent personal services to our tenants.

Over the past 50 years we have earned a reputation as caring landlord and a key stakeholder partner in Sefton. read more

We play a leading role in our neighbourhoods, working to influence and support our partners to deliver improvements in our local communities.

The Association has demonstrated its commitment to people with support needs and in particular those suffering from mental illness. For the past ten years we have received funding to support a professional team CHART which specialises in supporting people with mental illness to find appropriate and sustainable accommodation across the whole of Sefton.

We are a progressive and caring organisation which values its residents, staff and partners. We do not make a profit; any surplus is used to fund future work for the benefit of tenants and the communities in which we work.
