Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRS)
The Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) are new UK Government requirements that will improve how social housing tenants can access information about how their homes and services are managed.
Key points:
- From October 2026, housing associations like Crosby Housing Association will be required to publish key information about how we operate, the services we provide, and how we are performing.
- From April 2027, tenants will also have the right to request information and receive a response within set timescales.
At Crosby Housing Association, we are committed to being open, transparent and accountable to our tenants and communities.
We are currently reviewing the information we publish and preparing a STAIRs publication scheme, which will be made available on our website ahead of the October 2026 requirements.
